For all my years of life, i have only considered blogging once, and that was because i was grounded for a week for eating the big new jar of nutella when i was twelve. In these past two days, i'm starting to see what blogging means to some, and taken notes on learning how to write a proper blog (considering I know next to krill about it). A person's style will always differ just as interests do. While one writes about how to mold the mind to think a certain way, another may simply write about the a use of a single word. Honestly, from what I've seen, to blog is to express and show different perspectives.
Reading , Pam (the author) started by clarifying where she hailed from then moving on to her own thoughts about the use of the word y'all, where unlike movies or TV shows, it was used simply as a word, and the reactions those around her had on learning that fact. Her words wove into a story, a truthful one of course, but the way in which she continues on to writes and explaining the meaning and uses of the word, and how it contradicts with the portrayal of it seen by the rest of the country.
Research
Michelle M. Johnson was interesting to read to say the least. The points she makes about the people that use her colouring books vary from someone needing to use the "right colours" to another crying "I'm the only one who isn't getting it!". While it may seem that she just had a personal opinion with all this, to truly come with a conclusion about her readers attitude towards colouring perfection, she not only had to research on the how many, but on the why’s.
Method
When I was in highschool, teachers honestly knew me for one thing, and that was reading. Not
going to lie, if my grades plummbled, the librarian didn't even let me get new books, and the reason for this? I read too much. While teachers put the students phones in a box, they took my books. As in, any reading material not in the syllabus? G O N E. May sound silly, I know, but to me, that was like, the end of the world!! so reading Kelecoo's blog about the "Top 10 Most anticipated Books of 2020" was fun and helped add new titles into my ever growing collection (wink wink). It may just look like a rating-books kinda blog, but the descriptions are what got my attention. From what I've learned (and thats like, the basics of the basic basics) organization is KEY to good blogging. Its the simple details that make the difference. Practicing and evolving a prefered method = confidence, which in turns equals empowerment.
Confidence Empowers
Anyone in the US can testify to hearing about Star Wars once in their lifetime at the very least. Such a popular and long standing series. Truly they are remarkable! Rasheeda Childress's blog is very inspiring in that not only does she give some really good pointers such as "we can make a difference by doing our job well" which yes, yes we can!
